A quick one today…
I woke up this morning excited. I was thinking about all of the challenges that I get to face this week.
I was going over everything in my head, formulating some preliminary plans and making schedules for myself. Will I stick to most of them? Probably not. Life throws a lot of curveballs and things rarely go according to plan. But now, I get excited about the curveballs and figuring out how to not only hit them but knock them outta the park (I love baseball analogies)!
I used to wake up on Mondays and think, “Oh man… Monday. Mondays are the worst.” I would feel this way, as so many others do because it’s the start of most people’s workweek. The dread for many of going to work at their job, dealing with people they don’t like or doing tasks they’re bored with or have no passion for is almost palpable. It was for me.
But a while back, I changed the way I looked at things, I changed my mindset, and I started to get excited about Mondays. In all seriousness, it’s just a day… approaching it with an attitude of dread isn’t going to make anything you have to face any better.
So today, try getting excited about Monday. Get excited and look forward to the challenges ahead. Big or small. Monumental or trivial. Get psyched! Get fired up! No matter what it is, CRUSH it… CONQUER it!
Attack whatever life throws at you with vicious ferocity and be excited that you had the opportunity to go through the experience.
If you don’t achieve the desired outcome and you get knocked down, don’t look at it as a failure, instead, as a learning opportunity… then get your ass up and be ready for the next challenge or obstacle that gets in your way.
Get your workouts in this week, stay on track with your eating, ANNIHILATE any other challenges you face and feel yourself getting stronger and better with each victory.
