A Battle For The Ages

It’s a battle that will probably be waged loooong after I’m gone, probably long after you’re gone. It’s a battle fought by several different factions. The battle between personal trainers, fitness coaches, fitness personalities, fitness consultants, exercise physiologists, physical therapists, etc. etc. etc. over whose “way” is the right “way”. The “way” I’m referring to is training.

Everyone involved in these professions thinks their way is the best way, and there’s nothing wrong with that. You should be confident in your approach to training and quite frankly, I’d be concerned if any of these folks weren’t.

Some of these folks paid a lot of money to go to expensive schools, read expensive textbooks and spent countless hours doing low or unpaid internships learning their craft from experienced professionals. They have the proof that they learned the best way through the hours of work, research, experimentation, and implementation that they’ve put into their craft. They have a right to their opinion, just like everyone else.

Hell, I think that my way is the best way, that my programs get people the best results possible. I have my proof, too.

I know that what I teach works because I’ve successfully coached people that have gotten the results they were looking for doing what I taught. I’ve got over 20 years of “real life” experience and training under my belt and I’m not afraid to be open-minded and look outside of my knowledge comfort-zone to learn something new or try something different to see if it can get results.

I also practice what I preach. I’m a “do as I do” guy, not a “do as I say” guy. It worked for me, and if applied properly, it can work for you, too.

The hard truth is, there really isn’t a “best” way out there. How boring would life be if there was only one way of doing things?

Fortunately, there are tons of ways and the real battle is figuring out for yourself which way suits your individual needs and can get you the results you’re looking for in as painless a manner as possible.

Do your homework and decide what’s right for you. Since you’ve gotten this far, you might actually like my style and what I have to say. That’s great if you do. Just know that my “way” is the way of hard work, persistence, consistency…no short-cuts, no promises, no bullshit.

I’ll be putting out my latest calisthenics based training program next week. It’ll be available here on this site and just another one of the many right “ways” you can train your body.

Until tomorrow…

Always Activate. Get Going.
