Many of us work during the week and have the weekends to relax, get to projects we’ve been working on, see family and friends, etc.
Typically, we make plans for these events and often know in advance how we’re going to be spending our time on the weekends.
What many fail to do though, is to plan for or set aside time for their exercise and fitness routine.
Those same folks are likely to not account for food and what they’re going to put into their bodies while enjoying the weekend.
It’s not too difficult to plan for your weekend workouts.
Remember, they don’t have to be intense, buckets o’ sweat dripping marathon sessions either.
Your weekend exercise could just be your daily walk or a few sets of squats and push-ups. Feeling feisty, toss in some jumping jacks and shadow boxing between sets. Have fun with it!
If you just plan to take a 10-15 minute walk in the morning upon waking and another one later in the day, sometimes after a meal, for instance, you’re all set.
Keep it simple. Just get it done.
For meals, if you know you’re going to be at a family gathering and there won’t be any food there that fits into your nutrition plan, prep a meal and take it with you.
If you’re going away for the weekend, do a quick Google search of restaurants in the area of where you’re staying, check out their menus and make sure you can eat something there. Also, see if there’s a grocery store close by and pick up some healthy foods you can snack on for when you’re in your room that way you can avoid room service.
If you’re super dedicated, you can always prep some meals and put them in a cooler and take them on the road with you. Just be sure to book a hotel room with a fridge.
Again, this doesn’t have to be difficult, it just requires a little effort and a little creativity.
All that matters is that you set aside some time and account for your exercise and nutrition plan so that you don’t damage any results you’ve attained thus far and you can continue the momentum you’ve built up.
As the old saying goes, failing to plan is planning to fail and nothing could be truer when it comes to sticking with your health and exercise routine.
I’ll have a longer, more detailed article in the future about this with different things that I do to plan for my weekends including:
- Meal prep
- My exact weekend workouts when I’m away from home.
- How much is too much and not enough
- Best places to eat when away from home
- How to deal with people trying to dissuade you from eating right or working out when you need to.
- and much more.
All this will be available for those smart enough to become members of my stable of “Golden Ones” in the premium “Members Only” section of this website coming next month.
For those that have asked or are curious, I will still be providing plenty of free content as well, and I will continue sending regular emails to my email list, but the primary focus will be on those who wisely invest in themselves and the premium information that will be available in the “Members Only” section.
The “Members Only” section will have videos, audio, special reports, articles, and workouts that you won’t find anywhere else. It’s a wise investment for those looking to better themselves and earn the privilege to be called one of my “Golden Ones”.
Hope to see most of you there.
Until next time…
