A2G2 – Where Do I Start With My Diet?

One of the things about getting healthy, getting and staying in shape that most people have a hard time grasping is that it isn’t an overnight thing.

There isn’t a “magic” pill, powder or potion that can give you results.  Sure, there are countless supplements out there that can help you achieve your health and fitness goals, but alone, most are virtually useless.

The truth is, it takes dedication, discipline, determination, and constant action to get and stay on the path to continuous physical improvement.

One of the first things you should do is find an eating and nutrition plan that works for you.  This can take a long time and much research.

How do you know which is best for you?

Through trial and error?

Based on what you read in your favorite magazine?

Something you saw on social media?

Truth is…what works for some doesn’t work for all.  We’re all different.  And it may take some time to figure out what works best for you.

What works for someone you follow online may not work for you.

A great place to begin on your journey is to get yourself tested for food sensitivities.  Unfortunately, in today’s GMO, pesticide-rich, overly-processed food supply, many people unknowingly are not properly digesting and tolerating the foods they’re consuming.

Many of us have life-long food allergies or sensitivities, and still, others develop them over time.  A food sensitivity test can show if you’re unknowingly sabotaging your health by consuming foods that your body can’t handle.  It’s a great place to begin and definitely something that your doctor should be able to help you out with.

I personally found out I was sensitive to most dairy, sugar, cashews, and pistachios to name a few. These foods were staples in my diet and I ate them regularly (kicking the pistachios and cashews was really tough). Once I eliminated these from my diet, I started to feel better and started seeing a noticeable improvement in my health and appearance.

What foods may be unknowingly causing you discomfort and sabotaging your health? Today’s as good a day as any to take the steps to find out.

Always Activate. Get Going.
