So you’re on the fence…you know you should get started eating better, moving more, exercising regularly.
You know it’s good for you.
You know it’ll make you feel better.
But you haven’t done it yet. You haven’t taken that first step.
Why?
What’s holding you back?
Too much TV to watch? Too much FaceBook to look at? Too much to Tweet? Too many pics to look at on Instagram?
There’s a ton of reasons not to, and too many folks focus on the negative. They think things like, “It’ll take too long”’ “I don’t have enough time”, “It costs too much”.
Allow me to help you dispel those negative thoughts right now.
“It’ll take too long”? You can start feeling better by hitting the road and taking a brief walk every day.
If you work in an office, instead of taking your breaks in the breakroom, walk around your building instead. If you work an 8-hour shift, you can take 2 10 minute walks on your breaks and even toss in another one during your lunch break. Try it out for a week or two…you’ll start to feel better.
“I don’t have enough time”? Try waking up a half hour earlier every morning. Of course, that means getting to bed earlier every night. What to do with this extra time?
Upon waking, quickly get dressed and get right outside for a walk around the block. The cool, fresh, morning, air will help wake you up and get you going for the day.
Too cold outside? Do some push-ups, jumping jacks, or try walking in place. There are countless possibilities…get creative.
“It costs too much”? Hmm…everything I’ve already mentioned costs you nothing but time.
But if you’re referring to buying healthier foods or health/sports supplements, well…the supplements aren’t necessary at all…especially if you’re just starting out.
And eating healthier foods doesn’t have to be expensive. Next time the issue of cost pops into your mind, ask yourself this question instead: Won’t medical bills due to poor health cost me even more in the long run if I keep going down this road?
There are so many reasons not to, but they can all easily be thrown to the wayside if you decide to focus on why you should get going NOW.
Better health, feeling and looking better, more energy, clearer thinking, and longevity are just a few reasons why you should stop procrastinating and get going NOW.
Always Activate. Get Going.
